Come on a Wild Feast course or demonstration to learn how to identify a range of edible wild plants and how to use wild food to prepare tasty dishes and drinks.
The ancient practice of using wild ingredients is being rediscovered and foraged food is increasingly on the menu at top restaurants. Get the know-how on sustainable and safe foraging for unusual wild ingredients with Wild Feast.
Courses and events are usually held in Iden, Battle, Hastings, Three Oaks, and the East Sussex area at present.
Or contact me if you’d like to discuss holding a private walk, event or course elsewhere.
Wild food foraging and cookery courses in the Rye area
We’ll identify and gather wild herbs, fruit and flowers from local hedgerows, fields and woods. My courses are currently based at country homes and cottages, usually on a Saturday or Sunday, and all are welcome!
I’ll help you become more confident in recognising common edible wild plants – how to identify those worth eating and those best left in the wild, I aim to tailor the course to the your skill level, whether you’re a complete beginner, or more used to foraging.
We’ll take our wild edibles to the kitchen for a cooking session to make delicious dishes from wild and local seasonal ingredients. I develop many of my own original recipes, making the most of wild flavours.
